WILDMAIL! v2.02
CHANGES
BUG FIXES
o Using the -T parameter when resetting last extract count
under certain situations wouldn't perform properly.
o WM now properly checks for existence of the BADECHO
directory.
o Alias notification now works properly.
o Long path lines for packer types no longer cause WM to
truncate the command line in WM-PACK.BAT. This could
have potentially caused outbound mail to be lost.
o WM now makes an entry in the LOG file as well as leaves
the mail archive intact if it can't be processed. This
could result if the compression/uncompression format is
not recognized or TYPEPACK/UNPACKER line is missing.
NEW FEATURES
o WM now automatically detects the structure differences
between WILDCAT! v3.00-3.02 and v3.50 and uses the
appropriate database format for each respective version.
This allows those that use either the earlier versions
of WILDCAT! or the most current release to take
advantage of the new features in WM.
o ARJ is now fully supported for inbound and outbound mail
archives.
o Crash mail entered in WILDCAT! is allowed for specified
callers by defining user names in the WMCRASH.LST file.
Those users that enter netmail messages with the Crash
option but are not in the list will have the Crash mail
flag will be reset to normal.
o WM now splits messages exceeding the maximum number of
lines allowed for that conference. Reference is being
made in the last/first 4 lines of the message indicating
the split and that the remainder of the long message is
continued on in the next message and any additional
messages required to save the original into the
conference.
o Quiet mode (-Q parameter) screen rewritten and now
properly fits in a DESQview window.
o WM now makes full use of EMS memory for database access
and program swapping.
o Netmail messages addressed to points are now properly
extracted and formatted.
o New LOCKCOUNT option allows you to specify the number of
messages to toss before unlocking the message base.
This has a dramatic effect on speed when tossing in a
multi-line environment.
o WM now displays bad messages (if found) being processed
into their respective conferences.
o Bad message scanning speed has been increased by
approximately 30%.
o Message scanning and extracting speed has been increased
by approximately 200%.
o Extensive log file information has been added including
number of messages tossed, forwarded and Msgs/min tossed
on a packet by packet basis. Additional log information
has been added to indicate possibly corrupted message
bases and compression method used for specific nodes
when creating outbound mail.
o New QUIETARC option allows redirecting of the
compression programs to null producing very clean
displays when compressing outbound mail.
o Various prompts have been cleaned up for better
understanding of what WM is currently doing.
